Notification Settings

Users can set customized notifications settings to get alerts with information pertinent to their day to day work. Users can select one or both of two types of notifications. Banner notifications appear in the top right and auto dismissed after four seconds. The badge is the number on the icon at the top right.

  1. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner

  2. Select "Notification Settings"

  3. Using the toggles, turn on/off the notifications that best suit the users needs. There are two options for each type of notification; Banner and Badge. As you toggle to your preference the setting will be automatically saved.

  4. Pharmacy, Lab & Imaging Notifications can be dialed down to particular Providers so you only get notified for the provider results you wish to see. When these types are enabled, a list of available providers will be shown to select the ones relevant to that user.

For a listing of available notifications by category see Notification Types

Note - The Badge option for Task Notifications cannot be turned off. This ensures that all users are notified in some form about tasks that are assigned to them.

Global Notification Settings

If you prefer to not have users convert notifications to tasks as needed, you have the ability to automatically convert lab, pharmacy & diagnostic images notifications to tasks. This is a global account setting and affects every user based on the notification types they are opted in for.

  1. Click on the "Settings" module.

  2. Scroll down to "Global Notification Settings" and select the edit button on the right of the configuration.

  3. By default, Diagnostic Image, Lab and Pharmacy will be opted out of automatic task conversions. You can opt in the type(s) that you would like to have tasks automatically created for.

For more information about Tasks see Working with Tasks

โ€‹Viewing Notifications

Notifications can be delivered as a Banner, which will briefly display in the upper right corner, or as a badge, which will mark a small red dot on the Bell icon in the upper right. This gives a quick indicator that a user has a notification, and then clears off the screen to allow them to continue with their current work.

To review your notifications click the Bell icon in the upper right corner. This will expand the notifications tray from the right side of the screen.

  • Notifications are displayed in list view and are sorted chronologically with icons indicating the type of notification for easy visibility.

  • Users can filter notifications by type, by clicking "Filter by Type" and then marking the checkboxes for desired types.

  • Users can dismiss notifications by clicking the x next to a single notification or by clicking "Dismiss All" at the top of the list.

  • Users can search notifications by using the magnifying glass icon at the top of the notification tray.

  • Lab, Imaging & Pharmacy notifications can be converted to a task if desired for a follow up or other activity/action. If multiple users have received a notification, and one has converted the notification to a task, the other users will see an arrow icon and current task status next to the notification in their notification list that will link them to the newly created task, if they have permissions to view all tasks. This prevents duplication of tasks.

Note - "Dismiss All" and search results are limited by any filter/search parameters that are set. Notifications are only available for 30 days from the date of creation.
