Enabling the Integration
To enable the integration:

  1. Click on Settings

  2. Click on “add-ons”

  3. Click on the plus icon for the “Zoetis Reference Laboratories” line

  4. Complete the form that appears

If you do not have your ZRL credentials, please contact Zoetis for assistance.

Mapping Inventory
In order to submit tests to ZRL, you will need to create inventory items (or edit existing inventory items).

To create a new inventory item:

  1. Click on Inventory

  2. Click on “New Item”

  3. Enter the name of the test in the “name” field (you can review all of ZRL’s test catalog by typing “Zoetis” first)

  4. Complete the remainder of the form

  5. Click “Save + Done”

To remap an existing inventory item:

  1. Navigate to the item’s profile

  2. Click on “Edit Item”

  3. Enter the name of the test in the “name” field and select the applicable test from the list that appears

  4. Click “Save + Done”

Submitting Labs
The integration is built into the process of creating a medical record for the applicable lab. To submit the lab:

  1. Create a medical record under the patient’s history or in a medical note. Please be sure that “Zoetis” is set as the “Source”, and that “Send to Lab” is set to “Yes.”

  2. After saving the record, you will be prompted to print the requisition form. This form must accompany the sample so that the tests will be mapped back to the applicable medical record.

Multiple labs can be selected within a single medical record. Multiple labs can also be combined into a bundle.

Reviewing Results
Test results will be automatically imported into the applicable medical record. A task will notify the provider on record that results are available for viewing. Results will include the test values, reference ranges, and a history of prior tests that were run for this patient.
