Scheduled Reports

Learn which reports can be scheduled and how to set them up to recur.

Overview

Within the Reports module, the "Scheduled Reports" feature offers a curated selection of high-impact, frequently used reports that can be scheduled for automatic delivery. Reports can be sent via email, in-app notification, or both, ensuring timely access to critical data. This functionality not only saves time but also eliminates the risk of forgetting to run important reports. The following reports are available to schedule:

  • Accounts Receivable Reconciliation

  • End of Day Detail

  • Production Credit Earned (Based on Payments)

  • Production Credit Earned (Based on Sales)

  • Sales by Provider (Detail)

  • Sales by Provider (Summary)


How to Schedule a Report

In order to schedule a report, you will need permissions to access the report module, along with permissions to create a scheduled report.

  1. Navigate to Reports > Scheduled Reports

  2. Select "Add Scheduled Report"

  3. Select the desired report from the "Report" field dropdown. As a note, Each report can have a maximum of 2 scheduled reports.

  4. Next, select your "Export Type", either Both PDF and CSV, PDF, or CSV

  5. Select the "Date Range" you wish to have the report gather the data from. This will be dependent on the report you choose. For example, the "End of Day Detail" may use the option "Yesterday", where a "Sales by Provider" report may be weekly or monthly data that is needed.

  6. Next, select how often the report needs to be run from the "Recurring" Field

  7. The "Start Date" will be when the scheduled report will start the recurring cycle

  8. Next, select how you want to receive the report. The options are Both Email and Notification, Email or Notification

  9. The last field is "Recipients", where you will need to select who will receive the report. The user selected will need the permissions to view a scheduled report

  10. Click "Save" on the top right when you are ready to schedule the report


How to Edit and Delete a Scheduled Report

A scheduled report may need to be adjusted, such as the recurring frequency or recipients. If a scheduled report is no longer needed, it can easily be deleted.

Editing a Scheduled Report

  1. Navigate to Reports > Scheduled Reports > View Scheduled Reports

  2. Click "Edit" next to the report that needs to be adjusted

  3. Edit any field as needed within the "Edit Scheduled Report" form

  4. Click "Save" on the top right

How to Delete a Scheduled Report

  1. Navigate to Reports > Scheduled Reports > View Scheduled Reports

  2. Click "Delete" next to the report that is no longer needed

  3. Confirm your intent to delete the report

The “Scheduled Reports” feature within the Reports module allows users to automate the delivery of key reports. You can choose to receive reports via email, in-app notification, or both. The following high-impact, frequently used reports can be scheduled for automatic delivery:

3. How do I schedule a report?
To schedule a report, navigate to Reports > Scheduled Reports, then click “Add Scheduled Report.” From there:

  • Choose your desired report from the dropdown list (maximum of 2 scheduled versions per report).

  • Select the export type (PDF, CSV, or both).

  • Set the appropriate date range based on the report.

  • Define the recurring frequency and start date.

  • Choose the delivery method (Email, Notification, or Both).

  • Add recipients (users must have permission to view scheduled reports).
    Finally, click "Save" to activate the scheduled report.

4. Can I edit or delete a scheduled report?
Yes. To edit a scheduled report, go to Reports > Scheduled Reports > View Scheduled Reports, then click “Edit” next to the report. Make any necessary changes and click "Save."
To delete a report, click “Delete” next to it in the same section, then confirm the deletion.

5. What permissions are required to use Scheduled Reports?
