DaySmart Vet provides the ability to edit an existing unlocked medical note by navigating to that medical note and making changes. These changes are auto-saved in real-time.

​Locked Medical Notes
​
If a medical note is locked, the clinic can make changes to it by adding amendments. Once a medical note is locked, we DO NOT have a way to unlock/delete it. The software, however, allows you to add amendments.

​Steps to Lock a medical note:
1. Open your medical note
2. click on "Lock Note" at the top:

​Steps to add amendments:
1. Navigate to the locked medical note
2. Click on the amendment tab
3. Select add amendments:

4. Fill in the form that appears and click save.

Once the amendment is added, the number of amendments present on the medical note will show on the amendments tab as well as the summary of that medical note in the patient profile.
