Before You Get Started

If you are currently using the old integration that required a locally-installed widget, that widget will need to be uninstalled prior to activating the Heska Cloud integration. Failing to do so will disrupt the ability of this integration to receive results.

To uninstall the old Heska widget:

  1. Double-click on the downloaded file and confirm your intent to uninstall the wizard

The locally-installed Heska widget must be uninstalled before proceeding with enabling the new integration.


Enabling the Integration
To enable the Heska Cloud integration:

  1. Click on Settings

  2. Click on Add Ons

  3. Click on the plus icon next to the "Heska Cloud Integration" row

  4. Complete the form that appears

Please contact your Heska representative, if you do not have your client ID and secret.


Mapping Inventory Items
To complete the integration, you may need to map your existing inventory items to Heska’s test catalog. To do this:

  1. Navigate to the applicable inventory item under the Inventory module

  2. Click on “edit item”

  3. In the "name" field, type in the Heska test name and select the appropriate test from the list that appears (Heska’s tests will start with "Heska:")

  4. Click “save + done”

Items must be selected from the list described above in order for the integration to work. Custom inventory items will not be recognized by the integration.

The names of integrated labs cannot be edited. Use the display name option to set a custom name for the item.
