Overview and Set Up

All the features of the PetCare Mobile App are now easily accessible via any web browser. Create a custom button or embed the link to your social media pages to allow clients to create a new Client Profile, create new Patient profiles, access patient records & documents, create new appointment requests and more!


Set Up & Enabling the PetCare App and Widget

  1. Log into your DaySmart Vet Account

  2. Select "Settings"

  3. Select "Add Ons"

  4. Scroll down and find "Client Mobile App - PetCare" and click the green plus to the right to enable it

  5. Click the Gear Icon to the right and select "Edit Settings"

  6. You will first see settings for Rx Request - Delivery Options. For more detail on this setting, see Refill Request - PetCare

  7. At the left, click "PetCare Widget"

  8. In the Embed Button section, you can edit the color, font size, text & size of your button that will take clients into the portal. Once you have configured your button, click "Save"

    The "Return URL" field allows you to enter the URL that the customer will be redirected to if they choose to use the "Exit" button when booking an online appointment through the app. This is a great spot to put your businesses URL so the customer will quickly be directed back to your website.


    1. In the Code Section you can then copy the generated code and use it on your website to allow customers direct access to the portal.

    2. In the Standalone URL section, you will find a basic URL that is specific to your clinic. You can use this to create more customized buttons with your web developer, or embed a link to your portal directly from Facebook or Instagram!

When a client clicks the button on your website, they will launch a new tab or window with the PetCare Portal and take them to a new appointment request page. They will be prompted to enter an email or phone number to validate thier identity and connect them to the proper Client and Patient Profiles. If the Phone Number or Email is not found, they will be asked to input thier information to create a new Client Profile.

  1. User will click the PetCare link on your clinic website or social media page

  2. A prompt will be displayed to input Phone Number for validation, or they can select email


  3. If the entered phone number or email is not found on an existing client profile, a Create Client Profile form will be displayed for the customer to fill out and Save


  4. A New Visit Form will be the initial landing page for all users who access the portal via this link or button.


  5. From here the client can request an appointment (Must have Online Booking enabled and configured), or select from the options at the bottom of the screen to view thier pets, vets, billing, and client profile.

For Clinics with Record Sharing Enabled: Your clients will have access to all clinics within your group to ensure they have the ability to view all thier records. They can disable particular clinics if they desire when they set up thier account, or by clicking the Vets button along the bottom of the screen in the portal.
