Each appointment can be assigned one of five Triage labels which will show on the Census and Treatment Board to help you and your staff easily identify which patients to focus your attention to.
White - Routine (Default)
Black - Deceased/Euthanize
Green - Minor
Yellow - Urgent
Red - Immediate
Assigning a Triage label at Check In
Click on an appointment to check in a patient
As you review the information, you have the option to change the Triage: field
This will be set by default to All routine, no injury or illness if you do not wish to change it
After selecting the desired label and reviewing the remaining fields, continue checking in the patient as normal.
You can edit the Triage label on an appointment that is already checked by clicking the appointment, then hitting the paper/pen icon next to the current Triage label. For more information about the check in process, see Checking In and Checking Out Appointments |
Viewing and Editing Triage label from the Census
While on the census view, each appointment will show the color-coded Triage label in the Triage column next to the current status. You can sort appointments by the Triage label by simply clicking on the Triage header. If you wish to edit the Triage label directly from the census view, you can click the pen/paper icon next to the label to quickly update it.

Viewing and Editing Triage label from the Treatment Board
If a patient is admitted at check in, the selected Triage label will be displayed on the Treatment Board next to the patients name. This status can be changed by hovering over the status and clicking. After selecting the new status you can click the green check mark to save the status or if you wish to leave it as is, click the red x to cancel.
The Triage label can also be changed when you admit a patient from the Treatment Board directly or start the treatment for a particular patient. For each option there is now a field in the form to change the Triage label.
