📝 Overview
DaySmart Vet’s integration with Vetcove simplifies inventory management by seamlessly transferring order data from Vetcove into DaySmart Vet. Veterinary practices can compare prices and place orders through Vetcove, and once an order is placed, the details are automatically synced into DaySmart Vet for accurate inventory tracking and record-keeping. This integration helps clinics save time, reduce manual entry, and maintain better control over their inventory while ensuring seamless order management.
⚠️ You will need to establish a Vetcove account before you proceed with enabling the integration
✅ How to Enable
Before you can start using the integration, you will need to enable the add-on as follows:
Click on Settings > Integrations from the left hand navigation (or from the Settings module's main screen, select Integrations)
Search for Vetcove from the search bar on the top right of the integrations list, and click the green plus to the right of the Vetcove integration
Select the inventory categories that you wish to sync with your Vetcove account from the Applies To field and click Connect. If specific categories is selected, you will need to make the category selection
A new pop-up will open and redirect you to Vetcove to enter your credentials. Once the credentials have been saved, the integration will update to Enabled
💡 Once the add-on is enabled, we’ll import the items (from the subcategories that you selected previously) into your Vetcove account.
⚠️ Importing inventory into Vetcove will take a few minutes. Please allow 15 minutes before using this integration.
Before proceeding with the steps below, it is recommended that you review your inventory items to confirm that the Unit of Measure is correct. The Unit of Measure (UOM) can be found by editing an item and selecting the UOM from the Base Quantity drop-down menu. How you sell an item in the clinic may be different than how you order it from the supplier, and you may need to update the item's UOM.
🔗 How to Link Inventory Items in Vetcove
Once the import of your inventory item completes, you will be able to link your DaySmart Vet inventory items to Vetcove’s master catalog. Linking the items in Vetcove is not a required step to use the integration with our software, but it is highly recommended to streamline your receiving process.
💡Click the button below to be directed to Vetcove's help article on linking items. This article will take you step-by-step on how to link your inventory items to the corresponding item(s) in Vetcove.
🧾 How to Order and Receive
All ordering is completed through your Vetcove account. Once an order is submitted, the integration automatically creates corresponding orders in the Inventory module for each supplier.
For example, if a Vetcove order includes items from four suppliers, four separate orders will appear in the Orders tab of Inventory. These orders are created with a Submitted status, allowing you to record new receipts against them.
