Managing Marketing Campaigns

Marketing campaigns in DaySmart Vet can be used to track how successful your sponsored adds are for your clinic, or to help track how clients are referred to you (if not another client) such as Facebook, Instagram, etc. Using Marketing Campaigns allows you to see where most of your referrals come from, and therefore can help you decide where to invest more money for adds. These campaigns are managed in Settings under "configuration." Once created, marketing campaigns can be associated with specific appointments.

To view existing campaigns:

  1. Click on Settings

  2. Click on "configurations" and select the option to view your marketing campaigns

To create a new campaign:

  1. Click on the Settings

  2. Click on "configurations" and select the option to add a marketing campaign

  3. Complete the form that appears, including by specifying the cost of the campaign, if available, and click save

Applying A Referral Source

Referral sources, which includes clients, contacts and marketing campaigns, are assigned to individual appointments when the appointment is created, later edited, or checked-in. Simply start typing the name of the individual or marketing campaign that generated that appointment and select it from the list.

To learn how to create contacts or companies into your account to help with your referral sources (if not a Marketing Campaign) please click here.

A client's profile will also display the referral source for that client. By default, the first referral source used when the client's first appointment was created will display. However, you can edit the referral source by editing the client's profile.

Referral Source Report

The Referral Source report summarizes the number of appointments, value of appointment and the return on investment for each referral type for the date range selected. The report will also display inactive marketing campaigns in a separate section. This report helps you view who is sending you business, as well as the effectiveness of your various marketing campaigns. This report is found in the Reports Module, under the Schedule tab.
