Different Ways to Search for a Patient's Profile

  1. Click the "Patients" module from the top bar

  2. From the search bar on the right, enter the patient's name, the patient's ID, the patient's owner's name, rabies tag number, or chip number in the search box at the top right of the page

  3. If desired, click the "All" icon to the left of the search box to filter results by Patient Name, Microchip Number or Rabies Tag # to narrow down results. Click on the applicable patient when found

  4. If on the schedule, you can simply select the patient's name on the appointment and it will bring you directly to the patient's profile

  5. Proceed to the editing profile steps

How to Edit the Patient's Profile

  1. Once in the patient's profile, select the "Edit Profile" button on the top left

  2. Make any necessary edits

  3. Select "Save + Done" on the top left when completed

In order to add a patient's photo to their profile, you will need to do it from the patient's profile page after the patient has been created. You can not add a photo when first creating a new patient from the "New Patient" option.

To Add a Patient Photo to their Profile

  1. Click the camera button on the bottom right of the picture box

  2. Click "Upload Photo" and select the file from your computer

PDF and HEIC files will not work. JPEG and PNG will be needed to upload a profile photo

Once the photo is uploaded, you can adjust the photo by selecting the camera button and selecting "Rotate Photo". To remove an existing photo, select "Remove Photo" from the camera button.

Primary Provider

The patient's primary provider can be set within their profile. When scheduling an appointment for a patient, this allows the user to know what provider to schedule the appointment for at a quick glance. This information is very helpful in situations where the provider needs to be alerted of any questions or issues with the patient. When exporting a patient's file, this allows for you to know what veterinarian to select for the exported file.

The default on a patient's profile will be "No primary provider". To set a primary provider follow the steps below.

  1. Click "Edit Profile"

  2. Select the "Primary Provider" field.

  3. Select the patient's primary provider form your clinic's provider list

  4. Click "Save + Done"

What happens if a provider is deactivated from your staff? If a provider is deactivated in an account, it will still show the primary provider name previously selected with (deactivated) next to it , until changed to a different one.

Note for record sharing accounts. If the clinic has patient record sharing with another clinic(s) AND the provider is listed as a staff member at the other clinic(s), there will be a checkbox to select if you want to set the primary provider at all clinics where that is true.
