🚨 The enhanced version of Daisy Voice is currently in beta and will be released to the entire user base in the near future.
📝 Overview
A native AI feature, the Daisy Voice add-on was built to simplify and speed up your medical note-taking. Just speak naturally into your device, and Daisy will generate a clear, concise synopsis. From there, Daisy intelligently maps the content to the appropriate sections of the medical note, so you can review and apply it with ease.

Easily enable Daisy right from your account, under the Settings > Add Ons.
⚠️ Daisy Voice is a paid add-on. Standard pricing is $99/month unless your practice is participating in a beta, promotion, or trial.
🗣️ How to Use Daisy Voice in a Medical Note
Once enabled, a Daisy Voice button will appear in the top header of all medical notes. Once clicked, you can begin recording your notes!
💡 Tip: Daisy's controls follow you only when you navigate within the same browser tab where the recording was started. For example, if you start recording and open the patient’s profile from the SOAP within that same tab, the recording continues uninterrupted and the controls remain available on the new page. If you open or switch to a different browser tab, the Daisy controls will not appear there. The recording may continue in the original tab, but device sleep mode or screen saver settings may still interrupt it if the Daisy tab is inactive.

Within a medical note, select the daisy button on the top header, to the right of the date.
Click the Record button to begin recording your speech. Speak naturally and clearly. Daisy will clean up the transcription for you.
Your transcription will appear in the box as you speak. You can always Pause the recording as needed. Simply click the Resume button to continue when you are ready. When you're finished, click Stop to have Daisy start cleaning up and transcribing the text into condensed medical information for SOAP mapping.
Once the recording has stopped, you can click into the text and make any manual edits as needed by typing directly into the form. Click Next Step on the bottom right to proceed.
Daisy will take the transcription key points and process the information so it is ready to be mapped. You can edit any of the text at this step as needed. Click Next Step to proceed to Field Mapping.
Continue to the Field Mapping section to learn how to map the data into the SOAP.
Additional Controls & Time Countdown
A box will appear with the Daisy controls. From the top right, you can minimize the controls for the Mini Player, maximize the controls or X out.
The Mini Player takes up less space and is recommended if you need to see information while you record. If you prefer to see your voice transcribe in real time, leave it maximized. The mini player can be clicked and dragged to the desired area of the screen.
A 20-minute countdown timer shows the maximum amount of time Daisy can record in a single session. Once the timer is up, you will be prompted with your material. You can always start recording again to gather and add more information to the medical note.
Daisy Recording and Device Sleep Mode
When using Daisy to record, it’s important to understand how device sleep mode and screen savers interact with the recording process.
Preventing Interrupted Recordings
When the main Daisy tab is active, the system will temporarily disable your device’s screen saver and sleep mode.
This ensures that your computer does not enter sleep mode during a recording, which would otherwise interrupt the process and cause data loss.
Switching Browser Tabs
If you start Daisy and then switch to another browser tab (leaving the Daisy tab open but inactive), your device may still trigger its screen saver or sleep mode.
For example, if your screen saver is set to trigger after 10 minutes of inactivity, it will still activate if Daisy is running in the background.
⚠️ Important: Keep the Daisy tab active during recording whenever possible. If you switch to another browser tab, your device may still enter sleep mode or activate a screen saver, which can interrupt the recording.
Field Mapping Data

There are multiple ways to apply the information to the medical note, depending on your workflow at the time of use.
Click Apply All + Done on the bottom right. Once you’ve reviewed the information and confirmed everything is accurate and correctly categorized, use this option to quickly apply the text to the corresponding sections that Daisy has organized for you.
Apply each section separately by selecting Apply next to the listed medical note section within the form. Once a section is applied, you can use the Undo button if you wish to reverse the application of the data.
Drag and drop the text into the specific medical note section by clicking the particular text box and dragging it into the medical note.
Requires Assignment
If Daisy cannot identify the correct section for a piece of transcribed text, a Requires Assignment warning will appear. You can resolve this by dragging and dropping the text into the appropriate field, or by selecting Edit to manually assign it to a field from your medical note template. See the section below for instructions on adding a field.
Adding New Fields
If the medical note that is being used does not have a field that you wish to place certain information in, you can easily add a new field into the SOAP. Click the edit icon to the left next to a specific section.
This opens up a Reassign dialog. Simply type in the search field for the field that you wish to reassign the text into. This allows you to quickly search for any field in your medical note templates or custom field templates.
Once the field has been selected, click Yes to proceed with reassigning the text into this new field in the SOAP.
Once you click Yes, you will see the text in the new assigned field, where you can apply it.
💡 Pro Tip: Adding fields to a live SOAP note gives you the flexibility to build it out in real time, without being limited to the predefined fields of the selected note template.
🎤 How to Use the Daisy History Tab
Any medical note that Daisy has transcribed will include a tab labeled Daisy History. This will house all transcriptions that have been processed on that medical note. Any sections that were not applied originally can be applied later from this tab.

Applying Sections of Transcript
If a section of transcript is not applied at first, it will be stored in the Daisy History tab. You will see Not Applied, with the number of sections that are still pending application listed.
Click on Not Applied, and you will be prompted with the section(s) that have not been applied. If the section has a checkmark, that section data has been mapped. Click Switch to Edit Mode in order to proceed with the mapping of the fields. You will be prompted with the Field Mapping dialog where you can proceed with the mapping of the data.
Click into the box of text to edit if needed. Additionally, you can click Apply under any section, or use the edit option to reassign the field.
