Here are the setup steps:
Ensure that the CardConnect integration is active
Click on Settings
Click on Add Ons
Scroll down to Integrated Payments and click the green plus sign to the right of the option
Enter your Merchant ID
Click Save
Remove the device from the box and plug it in
Power the device on and run through the basic setup steps https://support.cardpointe.com/bolt/terminal/flex#setting-up-your-device
Once the setup is complete, tap on the "Bolt" icon - software will download and install on the device,
Once install is complete, you should see a prompt for Authorization Code
Enter the code provided by Clover Flex. ( The clinic should receive it in an email from Clover Support ([email protected]) that contain your activation code(s).
The device should think for a bit and then present a "Bolted" message
Once this is done, go back to DaySmart Vet and click on Settings, Configuration Tab (midway down the screen on the left) and select "View Devices". You should see your Clover device appear as Manufacturer = CardConnect and status = "Online".
Last step - run a test transaction:
Create a dummy invoice with a small-dollar item (i.e. $0.10)
Click Payments, New Payment
For Payment Type, choose CardConnect (Terminal) (note: the device Serial Number will appear once selected)
Click Save
Look at the Clover device screen - note there will be a transaction presented for the amount to process
Insert your credit card / provide payment (i.e. AndriodPay or ApplePay)
The payment should process with a "Success" message
Finally, log into your CardPointe account and click on Reporting. The transaction will appear as "Captured".
